Opportunity to do research at the Centre for Diaspora and migration research

The Centre for Diaspora and migration research (UL CDMR) will be happy to host new researchers within the framework of the H2020 Marie Skłodowska-Curie postdoctoral fellowships (MSCA-IF) aimed at Support for Experienced Researchers undertaking mobility between countries. UL CDMR is an interdisciplinary research centre focusing on migration research. We work in close cooperation with various faculties (e.g. human geography, humanities, social sciences) and institutions, including The Ministry of foreign affairs, The Ministry of Culture, and other institutions responsible for the diaspora and return migration policy in Latvia. The centre is located at the UL FSC (Faculty of Social Sciences) building, providing easy access to the most recent literature, as well as an opportunity to meet with various professionals and enthusiasts of the field.   Marie Curie fellowships will consist of a joint application between the researcher and the UL CDMR. Application criteria – a doctoral degree or at least four years’ full-time research experience by the time of the call deadline. Projects can be between 12 and 24 months. Please note that to qualify, the the researcher must not have resided or carried out his/her main activity (work, studies, etc.) in the country of the beneficiary (Latvia) for more than 12 months in the 3 years immediately before the call deadline.
